Boiling Pot Pandanus
I often find myself drawn to painting Pandanus trees. I enjoy trying to capture the primeval shapes of their branches and roots and the patterns of light and shadow created when sunlight shines through their spiky leaves. I painted these Pandanus trees clinging tenaciously to the edge of a rugged cliff above the white foam and cool ocean colours below. The original inspiration for this painting was the Boiling Pot Lookout at the stunning Noosa National Park. However, this classic view could be found in many places along the beautiful Queensland coastline.
