This is "Boiling Pot Pandanus", acrylic on canvas, 50.5 x 50.5cm. I am happy to have this new artwork finished in time for the "Colour" exhibition that starts this Wednesday 29th May. This painting will be available to view and purchase along with a number of my other originals and fine art reproductions. You will also have the opportunity to see many beautiful new works by my talented co-exhibitors, Cecily Slade and Lin Stanton. The exhibition runs every day from 10am - 5.00pm until Sunday 9th June. Opening night is this Friday 31st May from 6.30pm. Hope to see some of you there to enjoy a glass of vino and to share this colourful experience with us :-)
I am excited to announce that I will be part of a group exhibition at the end of May with two very talented artists. I will be at the Opening Night on 31st May and am also manning the gallery for a number of days with my fellow artists during the two week exhibition. New work will be available for purchase as well as some of my older pieces and quality art prints and reproductions. All art lovers are welcome and I hope to see some of you there :-)
The WOW – Works of Women art exhibition was a great success. It was a pleasure and very inspiring to work with six very talented and lovely female Brisbane artists. I would like to say a special thank you to Mark Lutz and the Gallery 6/31 team whose efforts made the whole project of putting on an exhibition, a relatively simple and stress free experience. Gallery 6/31 is a great new gallery space, with every facility that an artist needs to put on a successful show. I would highly recommend it. Art House Reproductions provided some excellent fine art reproductions to add to my part of the exhibition. They also produced some gorgeous “crystal” blocks for the show, pictured here. This is the first time I have used my reproduced art works with this product. I liked the result so much that I will now be adding them to my available reproduction range on this website. Just go to my Reproductions page to see details on sizing and pricing :-)
Here is a sneak preview of a painting I am currently working on for my upcoming exhibition on the 9th and 10th of November. It is inspired by a visit to the beautiful Noosa National Park earlier this year. There is still a lot of work to do, but I am hoping to have it finished in time to show along with several other originals and reproductions.
I am excited to announce that some of my original artworks and reproductions will be available to view and purchase in this upcoming group exhibition - "WOW - Works of Women". I will be exhibiting with six other talented Brisbane artists. We didn't set out to make this an all female exhibition, however it just evolved that way. Now we have decided to run with the theme and celebrate some amazing local female talent. Opening night is 6:30pm - Friday 9th of November, light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome.
